Wool Gathering

Trying a couple of extra markets

This is a bag which I wove some time ago and never finished. But I have now and I like it.
On Saturday I am at Brecon Farmers Market. On Sunday I am going to Trecastle Farmers Market which runs from 1.00 pm .
I am also now attend Usk Farmers Market on the first Saturday of the month, this is a trial but I will be there for the next couple of months at least.

What a Weekend

Feeling very weary today I was a Usk Farmers market on Saturday and then on Sunday I was at Glanusk Open Garden. It was great a lovely day lots of people, lots of sales and nice comments, but I am sooo tired.
However I am planning what to put on the loom next!!

Brecon Farmers market

I recently finished this wrap, which I will probably wear tomorrow at Brecon Farmers Market, if the weather does'nt improve

Blackbird Wrap

I have been seeing blackbirds in the garden a lot lately and i had some lovely orange mohair ,so I am making a blackbird wrap/throw. Black and orange, hope it works

Brecon farmers Market

Having been stuck in the house due to snow I made this blanket as a stash buster. Now looking forward to taking it to Brecon farmers Market on Saturday March 10th.

Usk market 17th February 2018

I am at Usk farmers Market on Saturday 17th February. I will be taking this lovely pure wool blanket

The Scarf I made yesterday at Brecon Farmers Market

I have just finished this very soft open weave scarf. I wove it yesterday in Brecon Farmers market. I finished it off when I came home. Today I have put it in stock. The colours really cheer up a dull January day

Autumn is on the way

The mornings are getting cooler, and I am thinking of Autumn. I have finished this cowl which is made out of British wool from Yorkshire. I really like the colour.
I will be at Brecon Farmers market on Saturday 9th September.

Floating warp

Trying a new technique today ,a floating warp ( that is what I am calling it). The warp is not tied to the back of the loom, this means that when I want to move it across the work I take it out of the heddle . It is quite slow but I like the effect. I am using ribbon in orange and brown with pale fawn Aran wool.

Thrums are the bits of yarn which are wasted because of tying to the loom. I hate wasting them and I had a stock of lovely bamboo thrums. So I tied them together and wove this cowl. One knot is an error, hundreds are a design element!
